How to design your garden using yellow?

I hope you have been enjoying the very hot weather. We have felt lucky to have enjoyed meals outside, spending time with loved ones in the garden and making the most of what the garden can offer.

Design decisions: How to design a garden using yellow?

This month I explored how yellow can be planted delicately in certain garden schemes despite being a colour that many people are wary of. I will be sharing ways yellow can work and be used beautifully in designing a garden in my May newsletter. Last week, I travelled up to London for the Chelsea Flower show. I loved exploring the different gardens, seeing the popular planting schemes, new plant varieties and different materials used with the gardens. A plant that particularly stood out to me was the Cornus elwinortonii 'Venus', which had huge magnolia like white flowers. I will be sharing my two favourite gardens from the Chelsea Flower show in my May newsletter.

If you are spending more time in your garden this Spring and feel it needs developing, replanting or enhancing, we would love to help, do reach out and we can help you to achieve a garden you love spending time in.

I hope you have a sun filled and happy June,

A hint to one of my favourite gardens from the show, this is the tree canopy in my local ancient woodland. It is a place I retreat to for clearing my head, clarifying ideas and unwinding.
