Liza Mackintosh is a multifaceted artist and gardener based in East Sussex. Since graduating with a BA in Fine Art at Wimbledon College of Art, Liza has exhibited her artwork regularly and is now represented by Highgate Art Gallery, London.
In 2022, Liza Mackintosh began her journey in gardening, deepening her understanding of the botanical world that has long inspired her work. Liza is developing her expertise and creating thoughtfully designed planting schemes for numerous local gardens. Her passion for thoughtful planting and commitment to excellence shine through in each project she undertakes.
All of Liza’s work loops back to her creativity and desire to capture beauty in the world around her. Her expertise as a painter and her creative outlook inspire her garden creating process.
Liza has paintings available from Highgate Contemporary gallery and drawings available from her studio. Liza is also available to discuss planting schemes to improve and develop your garden.
Bio
Born in Katoomba, Australia.
Liza currently lives and works in Crowborough, East Sussex.
Education:
Liza studied a Foundation Diploma at University College Falmouth; exposing her to the artistic cultures in Cornwall, completing the course with a distinction.
After specialising in Fine Art with an emphasis on painting, Liza embarked upon a BA in Fine Art Painting at Wimbledon College of Art, University of the Arts London, graduating in 2015.
Liza has an RHS Level Two in Practical Horticulture, which she studied at the historic garden of Hever Castle, Kent.
